Call for Applications for Participants for the Theatre Based Training Workshop 2026
Y-PEER Bhutan is pleased to announce a call for applications for facilitators for the upcoming Theatre-Based Training Workshop, which will be conducted from 13th to 15th July 2026.
The training is being organised as part of the SHIFT Campaign: “Y-LEARN SRHR” in partnership with Save the Children Bhutan. The workshop aims to strengthen the capacity of Y-PEER Bhutan members to use theatre, participatory drama, and creative performance methods as tools for advocacy and awareness.
Through this training, participants will be equipped with practical theatre skills and participatory drama methodologies that will enable them to deliver effective and youth-friendly messages on important social issues, including sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), gender equality, and gender-based violence (GBV).
About the Training
The Theatre-Based Training Workshop will bring together Y-PEER Bhutan members to explore how performing arts can be used as a powerful medium for learning, reflection, dialogue, and community engagement.
The training will focus on building participants’ confidence and skills in using theatre as an advocacy tool. Participants will learn how to develop messages, create performances, engage audiences, and use drama to encourage meaningful conversations around SRHR, gender equality, and GBV.
Following the training, participants will also be supported to develop youth-led theatre outreach action plans, which will guide them in carrying out awareness activities in their respective communities, colleges, and networks.
