I am Kayzang Lhaden Tshering, a law student at the Jigme Singye Wangchuck School of Law and the National Coordinator for Y-PEER Bhutan. My work focuses on youth empowerment, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), gender equality, human dignity, and access to justice. Through my experiences with the Human Dignity Clinic, Legal Aid Centre, and various advocacy initiatives, I have worked closely with vulnerable communities across Bhutan. I am passionate about creating inclusive spaces for young people, strengthening rights-based advocacy, and using legal awareness and community engagement to promote social justice and meaningful social change.
Tenzin Choden is a final-year student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Environment and Climate Studies at the College of Natural Resources and is a passionate youth advocate. She has been actively engaged with Y-PEER Bhutan since 2022, beginning with her participation in the 18th batch of NToT and later contributing as a facilitator for the 19th NToT. Tenzin also interned with Y-PEER Asia Pacific from 2024 to 2025 and served as the focal person for Y-PEER CNR. She has facilitated various programs, including the 1st and 2nd Training of Trainers on SRHR for Deaf Youth in Bhutan. Deeply committed to Y-PEER, Tenzin strives to contribute meaningfully and make a positive impact during her term.

As a member of Y-Peer Bhutan Core, I actively support initiatives that raise awareness on important youth issues and promote positive change in my community. I am a third-year Mechanical Engineering student from Bhutan, currently studying at the College of Science and Technology. I am passionate about learning, leadership, and innovation, and actively engage in organizations like Y-PEER, DAISAN, and Rovers. My interests include software, hiking, basketball, and music, which help me stay balanced and motivated. I have also participated in initiatives such as hackathons focused on solving real-world problems like river plastic pollution. Recently, I became the Chief Academic Councillor of my college.
