" To develop a Standard Toolkit linking Post-Covid and Online Peer Education"

( Under Asia Pacific Peer Education HUB)

I. General Background:
COVID19 has created lots of inconveniences for people, restricting their travels and limiting them to attend physical training and workshops unlike in the past. However, to ensure no one is left behind and to educate young people on SRHR/HIV, Y-PEER AP like many organizations has been investing time, resources and energy in creating online training platforms and educating young people virtually. The creation of online platforms has not only helped in educating young people during COVID19, and provided equal access to information, it also allowed YPEER AP to understand the importance of strengthening online training needs. Having a standardised online training Toolkit will allow us to provide quality and sustainable online training and ensure
maximum outreach unlike that of physical training.

Y-PEER Asia Pacific Center in support of 4 Youth Consortium and Partners intends to produce an International ToolKit focusing on Youth Activist, Youth Groups and Youth Organisations working on Peer Education and Young People. The Toolkit intends to bridge the gap between the traditional forms of peer education and modern means of online peer education methods which are rising as a result of social distancing and other rules of COVID 19. The toolkit also intends to serve a level zero guidelines to young people who want to initiate peer education through online means in the sector of SRHR ( Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights), HIV and other sectors as well as advance knowledge such as online privacy, digital safety, as well as tips to conduct the online peer education in a more effective and successful manner. The toolkit will also give extra information and knowledge to young people who are currently conducting online peer education and provide them with extra knowledge on how to make the workshops or peer to peer education more attractive, sustainable and successful.
