3rd of September 2021 is a red letter day for Y-PEER Bhutan as we mark the launch of Y-PEER Bhutan’s first ever e-Course Training package. The launch took place at dusitD2 Yarkay, Thimphu today and the event was graced by His Excellency Hon’ble Foreign Minister, Vice Chancellor RUB, Director General from Dept. of Medical Services (MoH), Director General from Dept. of Youth and Sports (MoE), officials from relevant agencies and young participants.We also had Ms. Madusha Dissanayake, Head of Office Acting In-charge UNFPA who joined virtually throughout the event.The development process of the e-Course started last year as a small online sensitisation program and now we have a fully standardised training package which can used not only during this COVID-19 situation but even beyond.During the keynote address, Lyonpo Dr. Tandi highlighted on the importance of peer education and the significance of getting access to right information.As an expression of appreciation, core members involved in the development process of the e-Course manual were presented with a token of appreciation along with certificates of appreciation. Next week, we start with our third National e-Course on SRHR and GBV.The event was organised by the Youth Center Division, Department of Youth and Sports, MoE and supported by UNFPA Bhutan country office.
