The 14th National Training of Trainers has officially come to an end. The final day of the training saw a session on motivation and goal setting, positive attitude and peer counselling. Mr. Amrit Bdr Subba talked to the participants about peer counselling and discussed on how to deal with certain issues while working with peers.
Mr Yeshey Dorji from UNFPA graced the closing ceremony along with Mrs Rinzin Wangmo, Chief of Youth Centre Division and other officials from the UNFPA and YCD. Mr. Yeshey awarded the certificates and talked to the gathering about how the youth must work to create an equitable and open society, where volunteerism is encouraged and talking about previously censored topics are made normal.
Y-PEER Bhutan is proud and happy to announce that we now have 33 newly certified peer educators. We would like to congratulate all of the participants of the 14th NToT and extend our heartfelt gratitude to all those who helped organise and facilitate the training.
Y-PEER aims to create a strong youth population who are empowered with the knowledge and skills to help their peers and we look forward to conduct more trainings in the future and hope to reach out to more young people.
