Rangjung Dorji - Bhutan
Rangjung is a student councilor at Jigme Namgyel Engineering college and is currently pursuing B.E in Power Engineering, 3rd year.It’s been 3 years since he joined Y PEER and ever since then has been an active member. He has served as the club secretary of Jigme Namgyel Engineering College Y-PEER club for the past two years and he is also the focal point of the college for Y-PEER Bhutan. As an active peer educator he has coordinate many advocacy and sensitization workshops on SRHR, STIs and other youth related issues. He has also been a facilitator in the NTOTs coordinated by Y-PEER Bhutan and Department of youth and Sports. He has also been selected as an intern at Y-PEER Asia Pacific.
Le Nguyen Phuong Linh - Vietnam
Le Nguyen Phuong Linh is a third year student at Hanoi Law University where she is majoring in International Trade Law. Her interest in international development in general, and SRHR in specific began during the national TOT training of Y-PEER Vietnam on September 2018, when she had the opportunity to interact with a different side of youth advocacy. She learned about the inequalities affecting young people’ lives; heard many stories of sexual violence, unsafe abortion and gender prejudices analyzation from Y-PEER Vietnam facilitators; and got to know about young key population difficulties. Inspired by youth network experience, Linh has helped Y-PEER Vietnam organize a series of talks on various topics such as sexual violence, abortion, sexual consent. She hope as a Y-PEER Asia Pacific Intern, she could have opportunities to train her skills, widen her background knowledge and help Y-PEER Vietnam network grow effectively for youth.
