I. Background
Having prioritized the focus on advancing the rights and wellbeing of young people through youth-led program, Y-PEER Asia Pacific Center (YPEERAP) in collaboration with YPEER Papua New Guinea (YPEER PNG), with the support of other organisations in PNG is organizing 4 days hybrid training for young people in PNG to advance gender equality and sexual and reproductive health and rights of all young people to end violence against women and girls. The training is expected to help young people to develop the knowledge and skills to take action in their own communities and at the national and regional levels. Some of the topics to be covered in the training include which you can find below are ASRHR, Understanding Gender, Violence, GBV, SRHR in humanitarian crises, Mental Health, Cyber Security/Privacy, and Meaningful youth engagements.
II. Aims and Objectives
● Have up-to-date knowledge in emerging trends, opportunities, and challenges related to
SRHR of young people in Asia and the Pacific in the post COVID-19 context
● Identify some possible ways to address these challenges either as an individual or a group
● Make action plans to advocate for improved SRHR of young people
