Call for Consultant to create ” SRHR Training Manual for Young People with Disabilities”

I. Background :  Y-PEER globally is working for SRHR issues of Young people including SRHR issues of young people with disabilities since 1999. In Asia Pacific Region, Y-PEER is advocating and building the capacity of young people with disabilities since 2009.

Y-PEER Asia Pacific Center intends to develop ” Regional SRHR (Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights) Training Manual for Young People with Disabilities”.

II. The Manual intends to provide :

  • Guidelines for young people with disabilities to learn about SRHR issues
  • Guidelines for other young people and youth advocates to work on issue of SRHR.
  • Provide knowledge and skills for young people with disabilities to advocate for SRHR rights of Young People with Disabilities.

III. Duration of Consultancy

  • 1st week of August-  1st Week of October 2020
  • Around 15-20 working days

IV.Qualification of the Consultant/or Team of Consultant

  • Working with Young People with Disabilities for 2 or more than 2 years
  • Previous experience of organising or facilitating training for young people with disability
  • Have understanding of regional or global understanding of issues of young people with disability and SRHR issues.
  • Fluent in English Language (written and speaking) and sign language knowledge will add additional value.

V. Travel 

No Travel is expected 

VI. Expected Outcome

– Regional Training of Trainers manual which could be used by young people with disabilities or other young people working on issues of Disability.
