Highlights from National APFSD Youth Forum 2025
On 15 February 2025, the National APFSD Youth Forum was conducted convening 35 youth advocates from 15 youth groups in Bhutan.
This year we expanded the knowledge and explored avenues to advocate for the priority SDGs: 3 (Good Health and Well-being), 5 (Gender Equality), 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), 14 (Life Below Water), and 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
We presented and discussed on both progress and challenges under each priority goal. Exchanges good practices among youth networks, along with ideas for future collaboration. We are also thrilled to present our second collective youth call to action at the regional Asia-Pacific Youth Forum on Sustainable Development.
The National SDG Youth Alliance and Y-PEER Bhutan thank the Programme and Youth Coordination Division, Ministry of Education and Skills Development, for their institutional support. We were honoured to receive Mr. Sangeet Kayastha from Y-PEER Asia-Pacific Centre, whose valuable presence connected passionate youth advocates and SRHR champions. We also acknowledge Mr. Kinley Dorji, a living legend and one of the founding members of Y-PEER Bhutan. Our utmost gratitude goes to the National Commission for Women and Children and Queer Voices of Bhutan for sharing national progress toward gender equality. Finally, we acknowledge our resource persons and all alliance members present at the forum.
The program is funded by YPEER Asia Pacific Center -Ypeer AP and The Asian-Pacific Resource & Research Centre for Women (ARROW).
